Here are some of our youth and high school softball athletes hard at work. 🥎

Something I notice is a lot of softball players spend their time on hitting and skills but never lock in on the weight room. Getting stronger helps everything else, and once you get to high school and college it makes a real difference.

Here’s what we’re working on:

🔄 Rotation

⚾ Ball drills that mimic in game situations

💥 Skater hops holding a med ball

🦘 Plyos

🏋️ Strength work like lunges, rows and face pulls

Phoenix softball players, we want to work with you! Whether you’re a youth athlete 8 and up or in high school, we can help take your game to the next level.

Text us at 623-326-9522 or DM “ TRAIN” to get started.

Sunday mornings are for getting better, and you’re invited.

Every Sunday at 9:00 AM we’re out at Arizona Christian University working on football skills, and I run it with Isaiah Huston of Skol Athletic Club. Isaiah is a wide receiver who’s played for the Arizona Rattlers and is now with the San Diego Strike Force, so you’re learning from someone who does this for a living.

Here’s what we get into:

Getting off the line clean
Crisp routes and sharp breaks
Catching with your hands
Timing with the QB on live throws

Every skill position is welcome. Quarterbacks, wide receivers, running backs, tight ends, linebackers, and defensive backs. Youth ages 8 and up, high school, and college. Whether you’re just getting started or already playing, we’ll meet you where you are and push you from there.

Come out this Sunday. Dm or text me at 623-326-9522 and I’ll get you set up.

3 speed training mistakes we see from athletes all the time.

1. Sprinting when you’re tired. Speed work needs fresh legs and full rest between reps. Rest 1 to 3 minutes after 10 to 20 yard sprints, 2 to 4 minutes after 20 to 40 yards, and 4 to 5 minutes for anything longer. Stop the set when speed drops. Tired reps train slow.

2. Random speed drills with no programming. Sprinting 5 to 6 days a week with a pile of random drills is not a plan. The nervous system needs recovery, so 2 to 3 focused sessions a week inside a real program beats doing more.

3. Just running more to get faster. Speed is a skill, not a cardio problem. The first 10 yards decide most races, so acceleration mechanics come before volume. Many tackle football teams get this wrong. They pile on conditioning, burn the kids out, then wonder why injuries happen.

Simple yet effective work that translates to game speed.

Save this for your next speed session and send it to an athlete who needs to see it.

DM “SPEED” and we’ll build the right plan for your athlete.
