If you're constantly walking on eggshells with your boss — it doesn’t have to stay that way...

Most career burnout isn’t caused by incompetence.

It’s caused by miscommunication, poor leadership, and zero clarity on expectations.

And it slowly kills your confidence, your creativity, and your peace.

Earlier in my career, I had the gift of working with some incredible leaders.

I also had bosses who micromanaged, blamed others for their mistakes, and crushed team morale.

Over time, I learned how to navigate:

Toxic work environments
Poor communication
Lack of recognition or growth
Blame games
Never ending chain of command
Unclear path forward
Feeling like you’re the problem — when you're not

And so much more.

The truth is, most of our clients don’t need a new degree or job title.

They just need the tools to communicate clearly and build confidence with tough leadership.

If you stay stuck, burnout will become your new standard and what you accept and settle for.

But if you take action — your confidence, clarity, and joy can come back stronger than ever.

We’re opening up a few spots in our September 'Career Burnout' Cohort, where you’ll get:

✅ Weekly 1:1 coaching calls
✅ Role plays to prep for tough convos at work
✅ A communication cheat sheet to guide your interactions
✅ Daily check-ins and accountability
✅ A full workshop to rebuild your confidence

Message me to grab a spot.

You deserve to love the work you do again.

"I'm averaging around 9 hours of screentime and I just can't identify why I go to my phone."

A prospect shared this with me on a sales call last week and it's more common than ever before. Doom-scrolling!

How much time and energy would you actually save if you figured out how to stop doom-scrolling?

To understand how to interrupt this thought pattern, I want to hit you with some of the cold, hard facts first!!

Doom-scrolling is really the silent productivity killer we all fall into, and the numbers don’t lie:

According to a 2025 Forbes article, 64% of Americans identify as doomscrollers, with 43% scrolling daily and 26% multiple times each day.

For Gen Z, a whopping 81% admit to doom-scrolling.

You may be wondering, "These are all eye-opening, but how is this actually affecting my personal and professional life?"

Great question. The same Forbes article and study outlines that you are 4× more likely to miss deadlines, 50% report worsened focus, and it's costing employers up to $5,600 per employee per year in lost productivity.

Also, I found another study done that mentioned the affects on mental health.

74% of those with severe doom-scrolling habits report significant mental distress and 61% report physical woes.

Here’s the game-changer:
Swipe ➡️ Pause ➡️ Replace.

Try this 3-step habit hack that we implement with every client, along with a dedicated accountability partner to ensure success:

Notice the urge and ask the question immediately. Are you scrolling because you’re bored, stressed, or avoiding deep work?

Hit pause after 5 minutes. Close the app. Breathe.

Replace with a purposeful action: walk, stretch, journal; even a 5‑minute chat with a friend if you can be disciplined with the time.

Then, check in with your accountability partner. If you don't check in, you owe your partner $25!

So, your challenge for this week:
— Capture your doom-scrolling average
— Cut it down by 1 hour!
— Share your results with us

NAVIGATING A CAREER TRANSITION

Ever been…

😩 Unemployed?
😔 Burnt out from a job you once loved?
😬 Scared to leave your job because of money?
😤 Just wanting to escape the 9–5 grind?

Yeah. I’ve been there — many times.

Here’s my messy, real-life work resume:

➡️ Interned with the Steelers
➡️ First job with the Suns
➡️ Consulting in Pittsburgh
➡️ Back to Phoenix — unemployed on my friend’s couch
➡️ Airbnb startup (shut down during COVID)
➡️ Couch again. No job.
➡️ Started a coaching company
➡️ Built an Airbnb biz
➡️ Two years in ministry
➡️ Now: Running a faith-based coaching company with my fiancé🙌

No straight path. Just small steps in the right direction.

If you’re in the middle of a transition, here are 2 things I wish I knew earlier:

1. Stop searching for the “perfect” job.
Search for the right next step.
The role that helps you grow, align with your values, and gives you energy — even if it’s temporary.

2. Don’t just run from something. Run toward something.
Burnout is real. But don’t make your next move blindly.

Ask:
👉 What do I enjoy solving?
👉 What kind of people or mission energizes me?
👉 Where do my gifts meet a real need?

If you’re ready to take the next step and want accountability along the way, we’d love to walk with you.
