❄️ Could a Super El Niño Bring Big Snow Storms This Winter? ❄️
It’s one of the biggest questions heading into the 2026–2027 winter season.
Historically, some stronger El Niño events have created a favorable setup for an active southern storm track, allowing Gulf moisture to interact with colder air when the pattern lines up. If that happens, parts of the Central Plains, Mid-South, Ohio Valley, and even portions of the Southeast could see an increased opportunity for significant winter storms.
It’s still early, and this is not a forecast—it’s a pattern we’re closely watching. The exact placement of the jet stream, the timing of Arctic air, and storm tracks will ultimately determine who sees snow, ice, or mostly rain.
There are still plenty of questions to answer, but the signals are becoming more interesting as we get closer to winter.
