The Warriors opened their season with the Hoka Postal National Meet Early Season Meet at Grand Woods Park. Both the girls and boys teams are very young (girls have one returning letter winner, the boys have 4), so it was was a great opportunity to see new runners.
The girls were led by Makayla Damico (11) who finished 18th in the 9 team field. Damico, the lone returning letter winner, was 38 seconds faster this year than last. Strong performance were also turned in by two newcomers, Arraya Goggins (9) and Chloe Beach (10) who finished 25th and 28th in field.
The boys finished as strong 3rd place with 96 points in the 9 team field. The Warriors were led by Landon Seiloff (10) and Thaddeus Overley (11) who finished 8th and 10th among 78 finishers. Connor Deyo (11), Luke Owens (11) and newcomer Cruz Torres (10) rounded out the top 5. Deyo improved his time from last year by 38 seconds.

The Warriors will enjoy the annual Run Under the Lights on Friday night and are back in action on Wednesday at the Saranac Invitational!
