The older I get, the more I realize that God's voice usually isn't the loudest one competing for my attention.
There are deadlines, notifications, responsibilities, opinions, and the running commentary in my own head.
There are constant interruptions, notifications, phone calls. It's no wonder it's hard to recognize His voice sometimes.
St. Dominic reminds us that before we can share the Truth, we have to spend time with the One who is Truth.
That doesn't mean we need a perfectly quiet house or an uninterrupted Holy Hour every day. (Although those are beautiful gifts when they happen!)
It means intentionally making room for Him in the middle of ordinary life.
Maybe today that's five quiet minutes before everyone else wakes up.
Maybe it's opening your Bible before opening social media.
Maybe it's simply pausing long enough to ask, "Lord, what are You inviting me to today?"
God is still speaking.
The question is: are we creating enough space to listen?
✨ What's one way you quiet the noise and make room for God? I'd love to hear in the comments.
