Summer Ball WK 1 Day 3.
Fly 10/25 build
Few things of note:
-We Train Monday/Tues/Wednesday/Thursday (3-430)
*guys start practice right after at 5
-Monday/weds: run and lift
*monday: acceleration emphasis, Weds: Max Velo
*tues/thurs, team warm up, then lift only
-tracking metrics every week. Recorded and ranked
*monday: timed 10 yard sprint (1 or 5 build)
*tuesday: CMJ w/
*weds: fly 10 (25-30 build)
-we run as a full group. Split into offense/defense for lifts
-anywhere from 60-70+ guys at a time with 10 racks. So in order for us to get everything done the groups need to be split, that way I can have 3-4 guys per rack and we can roll from there
-I have 90 mins. Every second has to count. Days we run, it’ll take us 20-25 mins to get everything done including dynamic, in place mobility, rudiment, broad jumps, a series, builds, a series, sprints times, etc. High quality work, we don’t have the time for fluff. From there we transition to weight room. On run days each group will have about 30-35 mins to get everything done. Which is why it’s only 4-5 exercises (a1/a2, b1/b2, c series is there if they get to it) . Non run days they’ll have about 40 mins. The guys are really efficient at this point so the works getting done.
-the guys are practicing everyday post training, my job is to continue to develop and saturate certain attributes without blowing them up before their field work. Which is why we o may have 2 run days. They are getting plenty of decel and change of direction out at practice.
Happy with how week 1 went. Especially with zero time off from finals. The spring semester set us up to be able to roll right into summer. 3 more weeks until the dead period. Excited to see the guys keep stacking🏁
