We are so excited to welcome Catherine Piazza to the SSDE Faculty! Join us in giving Catherine a warm welcome as she begins this new chapter at South Shore Dance Ensemble. We’re looking forward to all the energy, expertise, and heart she will bring to SSDE!

Originally from England, Catherine completed her professional conservatory training at Northern Ballet School in Manchester, where she studied classical ballet, contemporary, jazz, modern, tap, musical theatre, character dance, anatomy, and dance history as part of an intensive three-year program preparing dancers for professional performance and teaching careers.

Catherine went on to enjoy an 11-year international performing career with Carnival Cruise Lines’ award-winning entertainment division, performing as a featured soloist and lead dancer and serving as Dance Captain for elite inaugural production casts.

Catherine is a certified Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) instructor, a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher, and a certified LaBlast® instructor. Her continued professional development includes training in dancer health and wellness, mental health awareness, and safe dance practices.

Catherine is passionate about creating a positive and engaging learning environment where dancers can build strong technique, confidence, artistry, and a genuine love of dance. She is thrilled to share her professional experience and knowledge with the students of SSDE, bringing joy, encouragement, and thoughtful instruction to every class.
