Lyft Fitness is looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Tai Chi Instructor to join our team!

We're exploring adding Tai Chi classes to our schedule and are seeking someone who is passionate about helping others improve balance, mobility, mindfulness, and overall wellness through Tai Chi practice.

What we're looking for:
✅ Experience teaching Tai Chi to a variety of fitness levels
✅ Strong communication and coaching skills
✅ A welcoming and encouraging teaching style

May is EDS Awareness Month 💛

Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) is often called an “invisible illness” because many people fighting it look completely fine on the outside — while battling daily challenges most people never see.

For those living with EDS, everyday life can include:
• Chronic pain
• Frequent injuries and joint dislocations
• Extreme fatigue
• Digestive and gut complications
• Dizziness and instability
• Slow recovery
• Feeling misunderstood or dismissed

Simple things like working out, walking, standing too long, carrying groceries, or even getting through a normal day can require incredible strength and resilience.

People with EDS are constantly adapting, pushing through pain, advocating for themselves, and learning how to navigate a body that doesn’t always cooperate.

As a trainer at Lyft Fitness, I see many of our members living with this illness and showing up to get the work done. I want to take a moment to shout out to them. I see you and I support you - Kris

This month is about awareness, education, compassion, and support for everyone living with EDS and other invisible illnesses.

Be kind.

The results of the Transformation Challenge!

First, let's start with the stats: 32 of 59 members finished the Challenge, that's a 54% finish rate. That's pretty normal

Out of the 32 finishers, they lost a total of 112lbs!! Wow! But it gets better. 142lbs of fat were lost between all of the finishers. Yep, you heard that right, 142lbs is AMAZING! I’m soooo impressed. 16lbs of muscle were gained by 32 people. Overall, the Transformation resulted in a loss of 158 lbs over 8 weeks! That is pretty impressive. Congrats to all of the winners, and everyone who put in the hard work.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED 🥊

Help us make a difference in the lives of our Rock Steady fighters!

Our Rock Steady Boxing Program is looking for caring, energetic volunteers to help support individuals living with Parkinson’s disease during classes at Rebel Fit Club in Gresham.

No boxing experience needed — just a positive attitude and a willingness to help encourage, motivate, and support our fighters as they work to improve strength, balance, mobility, and confidence.

Volunteer Opportunities Include:

✅ Assisting during workouts
✅ Encouraging and motivating participants
✅ Helping set up equipment
✅ Building community and connection
