The Garage Games Masters Tour is coming to Greensboro, and it is running on our floor.
Saturday, November 7. It is a one day competition for masters athletes only, and CrossFit FirePit is hosting the Greensboro stop.
Here is the part I want you to hear. Everybody in your heat is your age. Ten brackets from 30 all the way up to 75 and over, men and women, and every bracket has an RX division and a Scaled division. Scaled means lighter weights and an easier version of each movement, so you pick the one that fits where you are right now.
Somebody told me once, "Jody, you got a niche for people who are older but still feel that athlete on the inside." That is exactly who this day is built for.
Most of us stopped keeping score around 18. Nobody has counted your reps or called your name in 30 years. On November 7 somebody does, and your score sits on the national leaderboard next to every other stop on the tour.
Entry is $125 and it all runs through the Garage Games site. Sign up on or before Saturday, October 24 and your tour shirt is included. Registration closes Saturday, October 31, and that is when the brackets lock.
