1. What you eat matters. If you eat too much you won’t lose any weight. Protein matters & too much sugar kills your waistline. If you watch my stories & posts you know I love sweets. I recently had to cut down my cookie intake 😆
2. You must move your body, think cardio vascular. Now add strength training 💪🏻- your body will feel the shift. Doing 1 & 2 will give you the best results.
3. Don’t skip core. It matters post babies. After baby number 2 I focused a lot more on breath work & deep core work and felt like my insides got stronger, faster. I had over a two finger separation in my abs once baby number 2 was born. I currently have a 1 finger separation in my core (diastasis recti) that I’ll continue to close.
4. This might sound like common sense but don’t eat things that make you feel bloated, hurts your stomach, or causes any gas. Your body is giving you an immediate negative response. Listen to it & don’t do it again. I recently tried a new restaurant with some friends and I within 10 minutes or less I could tell after eating this one specific crepe hit my stomach like a knot. So I likely wont try that again. 🥲
5. Consistency is your best friend. If you can find the consistency to move your body 3-5 days a week you will see the best results. Add staying consistent with your meals and your body will have no choice but to change. It those first initial weeks post baby I focused on breath work. I slowly started to fit workouts back in. I started with 3 days a week around 12/13 weeks around August and I work out 5 days a week.
6. Alcohol & cheat meals kill your weekly progress. Pick one or the other but as you get older this won’t work. You’ll have to reduce alcohol to keep the belly weight down and cheat meals few and far between because the body takes longer to recover. I don’t drink often but gosh do I love a good cheat meal 😆. What I’ve done in the past is have a cheat meal, once a week… what I’ve noticed is that my body doesn’t like it. Cheat meals are fewer and far in between these days. And alcohol… hits my stomach like a brick 🧱, causes inflammation, bloating… it’s just not fun.
