Happy Anniversary parkrun USA! 🎉

Happy 14th anniversary to parkrun USA! What a journey! It all started with just one event at Livonia parkrun in 2012, brought to life by 28 finishers and seven volunteers. Fast forward to today, and that single spark has grown into an incredible nationwide community of 99 events and thousands of participants!

Oh how far we've come! The data is still rolling in for today, but last weekend saw over 6,000 participants across the country, including nearly 1,000 amazing volunteers! Whether you’ve been with us since day one or joined for the very first time today, thank you for being a part of our family. You are the heart and soul of parkrun USA. 🇺🇸 🎉 👟 🌳

Thanks for joining us for event #341! Temperature at start time was 68°, with 93% humidity.

This week 91 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 13 were first timers and 9 recorded new Personal Bests. Congratulations on the PBs to Jon Babcock, Chris Demere, Alex Rivero, Marc Celestin, Melvin Geovanny Meléndez, Lewis Silvis, Hye Rin Kim, Nicole Paluzzi, and Tommy Powell! Great job to First Five finishers Jon Babcock, Matthew Jordan, Michael Rywant, Adam Fernandez, and Carlos Gomez.

Congratulations to Leo Alois for reaching the 25 event milestone and to George Dondanville for reaching the 25 volunteer day milestone!

A huge day for milestones at event #340! Temperature at start time was 73°, with 100% humidity.

This week 84 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 5 were first timers and 8 recorded new Personal Bests. Congratulations on the PBs to Devon Myers, Carlos Gomez, Sophia Lee, Sherry Larkin, Tommy Powell, Lesmar Murray, Kate Magill, and Yara Elenany! Great job to First Five finishers Jon Babcock, Weston Schrock, Matthew Jordan, Tamas Kereszy, and Michael Rywant.

Now for the milestones…
- John Jopling became our first participant to complete 250 events! John has been a bright light in our Depot Park community with his enthusiasm, friendliness, and good nature. He is a dedicated member of our pre-event setup crew each week and is on track to reach 250 volunteer credits this year too. Way to go, John!
- Jon Matheny reached both the 100 event milestone and the 50 volunteer milestone today! Check out his two-sash photo in today’s album.
- Brian Bird reached the 10 event youth milestone!
- It was also a big day for 25 event milestones, with Sherry Larkin, John Tucker, Wit Ostrenko, Lucila Sandreschi making the grade!
- And, our beloved Shauna Dixon, founder of our event and co-founder of West End Community parkrun, reached her 250 volunteer milestone at West End! Thank you to Shauna for your years of dedication to our community.

We welcomed repeat visitors Daniel and Jessica Whitehouse from our sister event Clermont parkrun. Glad you were able to join us on this special day.
