Our last day having the physical gym location will be March 31. No, we won’t be moving anywhere else. Yes, the merchandising, shirts etc will continue and be back to where we were, this year.
I’ve been asked why, probably a hundred times now, the short version; it’s business. It never was business to me starting out, and it turned into a headache that was no longer fulfilling. So I sold the building I bought three years ago, and on to the next chapter now.
Our greatest accomplishments have been watching our members and former members build successful careers in coaching, lifting and life. Forever grateful to .jskinner for being by my side since day one with ABC. We’ve been able to accomplish so much in nine years, all time world records, friendships, relationships and everything in between.
For years, we have been feeding hundreds of families for Thanksgiving, providing hundreds of gifts to kids on Christmas and making donations to the local charities we care about. Now that we are closing, I feel ok talking about it. I never made it a point to post or use for social media clout because it was never about me, and always the community.
The next chapter for Gainesville powerlifting will be with who will be running .barbell .
