Our FSCC Rodeo Team Family is excited to announce the latest developments in our Coaching Staff changes.

On August 31st, the FSCC Board of Trustees approved the selection of Bo Casper as the new Head Coach of our storied program. Casper has been serving in an interim capacity since Coach Chad Cross announced his departure on August 17th.

Coach Casper will serve as the third official Head Coach and the third FSCC Alumnus to fill the role since Gary Harvey helped develop the program in the late seventies.

Casper was a member of the Coach Cross-led 2002 Central Plains Region Championship Team and went on to lead a successful 11 year professional career as a PRCA Ba****ck Rider.

Coach Casper will be assisted by Coach Jett Williams. Williams, a native of Clarinda, Iowa, earned his Farm and Ranch Management Certificate from FSCC in 2026 and is still an active professional competitor in Saddle Bronc, Team Roping and Calf Roping. Jett most recently competed for FSCC at the 2026 College National Finals Rodeo.

These two Greyhounds understand the culture created by Coaches Cross and Luthi are excited to carry the tradition forward beginning with the 2026-2027 team.

The Greyhounds begin competition next Friday at the Colby Community College Rodeo in Colby, KS.

After lots of thoughts and prayers I have decided to resign as Fort Scott Community College Head Rodeo Coach effective Monday, August 17, 2026.

I have been honored to do my best for students at FSCC what John Luthi did for me while I attended Fort Scott Community College.

I have always told myself that when I was unable to give 100% to this rodeo program that I would turn it over to someone I thought would do the same.

Bo Casper is ready and willing to step in and continue the culture of FSCC Rodeo as Interim Head Rodeo Coach. I plan to give Bo Casper my assistance and support.

In the last thirty years there have been a lot of great things happen here. Our motto of life, school and rodeo is not something we just say; it’s something we have lived.

This place is special. Not because of the building but because of the people who have been in the building. And I am thankful for those people.

Our FSCC Rodeo Team is deeply saddened as we have lost one of our family members. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Jules Curry.
While attending FSCC Jules affected many lives. She was quiet, positive and such a genuinely kind person. Jules did not believe she needed to fit into a mold, she made her own.
While on Earth, Jules had a very positive affect on horses and people. We’re very certain that where Jules is now she is smiling while doing the same.
We will miss her very much but will be forever grateful for the time we were allowed to share with Jules at Fort Scott Community College.

Our FSCC Rodeo Family is excited to announce that Bo Casper is joining our coaching staff for our FSCC Rodeo Team!

Bo knows the culture and the goals of our rodeo program. Bo had a very successful PRCA rodeo career and brings that experience to our team!He knows how to win and is a great motivator!

Just as important, Bo’s character, honesty and faith makes him the individual that you would like to have as a neighbor.

We are looking forward to what Bo will bring to our FSCC Rodeo Team!

Rydan White finished 5th in the Short Round with a 5.8 and was 5th in the NATION! 🙌🏼
