Gunn Park Trails

Gunn Park Trails Wooded Mountain Biking & Hiking Trails right in your back yard! Come build, ride and enjoy these trails. Trails are both existing and under construction.

Mostly wooded, non-technical trails with relatively easy climbs and descents. We've added a few technical sections that branch off the main trails. Access the trail just north of the main entrance to the park heading n

orth riding the trail counter-clockwise for the most challenging climbs. For less climbing, head south from the parking lot and find the trail head behind the caretakers house. Both trailheads will bring you back to the main parking lot. Approximately 6.7 miles.

Our trails are still in need of flood cleanup. I've been traveling a lot and it's been raining a lot, so not much has been done.
Weather permitting, this Saturday, June 20th, at 9:00 am, we'll try again. If you can spare a few hours, please help. You'll need bug spray, drinking water and gloves, we can provide everything else.

Flood cleanup starts tomorrow morning at 9:00. Yep, it’s a mess. All hands on deck. Yes, that is a hay bale that will get pushed into the river where it came from.
We’ll meet at the main entrance. Chainsaws, rakes, gloves and bug spray.

The Marmaton River flood waters continue to reshape things a little. Those trees were not growing in the river a week ago and will probably only survive another year or so after the embankment slid into the river. Although sad, it’s kinda cool, but has the potential to create some challenges. We’ve had this happen a few times where our trail runs adjacent to the river. In most cases it’s a rather simple reroute. This area is adjacent to the road and will need to be watched closely.

Our trails will be closed for a while and will likely need some significant cleanup. Ugh!

Sorry for the late notice! No Tuesday Group Ride today. Some of our trails were under water late last week and we have not had a chance to clean up.
