Ellsworth Rod & Gun Club

Ellsworth Rod & Gun Club Sportsman's Club and banquet Hall with a full bar. The Ellsworth Rod & Gun Club was organized in 1933.

The grounds and buildings have been maintained and available to the general public for use. The club especially caters to non-profit organizations and their related activities. To raise funds to support the grounds and activities, the Club has held by-monthly chicken feeds at the club house for over 40 years. Other specific activities conducted by the club include cooperation in hunter safety pro

grams, trout stream improvement projects, wildlife habitat improvement projects and public conservation education programs. Since 1939 the Club has been engaged in a pheasant release program in cooperation with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. The Club has raised and released approximately 3000 - 4000 pheasants in the Pierce County area annually. In the past several years the Club has run an additional fund raising activity in the form of a banquet held in the fall of the year with all funds generated from the banquet being channeled into renovation and improvement of the pheasant breeding facility maintained by the club. "Part of our mission in helping to support community endeavors works through fund raising at our bi-weekly chicken feeds. We can donate back a portion of our meal tickets to other non-profit groups or clubs around the Pierce County area.

The 2026 Ellsworth Rod & Gun Straight Club

Shooters that achieved a 25 or 50 or 75 or 100 straight. This year we had no 100 straights. Purple indicates a youth shooter that shot over summer and achieved a straight that was not during their spring high school season.

2026 Summer Season (May-August) Placings were announced last night. Congrats to our 2026 Best 10 Score Average champion Nick Webb (Elmwood) 25.0 avg, runner up Mitch Nelson (Pepin) 24.9 avg and third place to Austin Manore (Ellsworth) 24.5 avg.

We all enjoyed complimentary Pizza, Nachos, Sweets, Ice cream and adult beverages. Also switched things up and offered doubles and 20Yard shooting as well as regular 16 yard trap. (photo from 2024 reused as Austin was gone Elk Hunting last night).

Tonight is Year End Fun NIght for Open Trap Shooters. We will AWARD prize money have some complimentary food, snacks and treats. If you shot trap in the 2025 or 2026 seasons please come join us. We will offer some 20 Yard rounds, double rounds and $5 Annie Oakley and 5 Man Team 50 Bird Competition.
