Ready to take your first ballet steps? Join us this summer for Beginner Ballet, a fun and structured class designed for young dancers ages 7-9, who are new to ballet or have limited experience.

Students will learn the fundamentals of classical ballet, including posture, coordination, musicality, and ballet vocabulary. Through engaging exercises and movement activities, dancers will develop strength, flexibility, and coordination.

Perfect for dancers who are ready for a more structured class setting and want to explore the beauty of ballet!

Session Dates: July 14 – August 4 (Tuesdays)

Join acclaimed contemporary dance artist and choreographer Daniel Rubin Daniel Rubin , current Second Soloist with Boston Ballet and former Leading Soloist with Eifman Ballet of St. Petersburg, for an intensive two-day workshop designed for advanced dancers ages 13–19.

Daniel has also served as a judge and masterclass teacher for Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP), bringing a wealth of professional performance, choreographic, and teaching experience to the studio.

This workshop focuses on developing musicality, dynamic movement, and refined movement quality while exploring challenging contemporary choreography. Dancers will strengthen their technical precision, artistry, and expressive performance skills through an engaging and inspiring contemporary dance experience.

Open to all advanced contemporary dancers seeking to expand their versatility and deepen their artistic voice.

Our Jazz Class for ages 7–11 is the perfect opportunity for dancers to explore a high-energy dance style while building confidence, coordination, and performance skills. Dancers will learn the fundamentals of jazz technique through upbeat music, engaging exercises, and exciting choreography in a positive and encouraging environment.

Teen Beginner Ballet class is ideal for dancers who are new to ballet or have some prior experience. The class focuses on building a strong foundation in classical ballet through barre and center work, while developing coordination, posture, strength, and musicality. Dancers will be supported at their individual level, with opportunities to progress at their own pace in a positive and encouraging environment. Perfect for those beginning their ballet journey or continuing to grow their skills. Not a drop in class. Enrollment is required.

Congratulations to all of our dancers, families, and faculty on an incredible Spring Performance 2026!

This past Sunday was a wonderful celebration of the hard work, dedication, artistry, and growth our students have shown throughout the season. We are so proud of every dancer who took the stage and shared their talent with our community.

A special congratulations to our graduating seniors, Isobel Lewis and Liliana Rodriguez . We are grateful for all they have contributed to Ocean State Ballet and wish them continued success in their future endeavors.

Thank you to our production team .orth , crew, volunteers, and everyone who worked behind the scenes to make these performances possible. Your time, effort, and commitment helped create a truly memorable experience for our dancers and audiences alike.

What an amazing performance of The Ugly Duckling on Saturday!

Every dancer performed beautifully, demonstrating dedication, artistry, and hard work both on and off the stage. We could not be more proud of all that they accomplished.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who was part of this beautiful production—our dancers, guest artists, choreographers, crew, volunteers, and audience members. Your support and commitment made this performance truly special.
