I love this video from Dr Catherine Svelha and am so grateful to have had the immense honor of attending a three day workshop on Payche and Eros with two weekends ago โ™ฅ๏ธ

I've described Dr.Svelha's workshops as "like walking into a room full of soulmates" and felt incredibly blessed to have had the opportunity to journey back out to the Hudson Valley over the last two weekends to attend more events.

Thank you for connecting us- and thank you Heroine's Journey for connecting Kelli and I, and thank you .mysteries for inspiring us all!!!๐Ÿ™๐Ÿปโ™ฅ๏ธ๐Ÿฅน

At the Psyche's Quest workshop, I met for the first time, who is a transformational coach and endocrinologist who specializes in helping immigrant mothers thrive (she drove 12 hours round trip to gather for Payche's Quest!!) and my heart was full of joy upon our sweet gathering :)

Corina and I had met online that Fall through the - and we also shared in an intensively transformative and inspirational/impactful class through over the Fall.

It was the final office hours call with Erick where I blurted out my first open mic poem, inspired by the tale of the Crescent Moon Bear (I spoke the poem to a room full of courageous souls in an expressive arts collaboration with and this April.)

The Solar Peacock connected Corina, Erick and I all together, (and from Nervous Syatem Mastery, which I've now taken 3x, connected me with Erick in Spring 2020: Erick's journaling course introduced me to a life changing tool I had yet to discover: IFS.)

In my reprint of the Emergence deck (the green light to reprint was revealed through our Artists Way community call on Monday!) the card for the Peacock will be transforming :) ๐ŸŒž so will the card for :)

If it weren't for the DAC voting my Medusa video first place, I may have never made it out to NY for the first workshop with Dr C on Inanna โ™ฅ๏ธ ๐ŸŒน

I thank .blefeld and of for helping support my and Medusa's emergence through an artist residency in Martha's Vin

The great Maya Angelou said โ€œthere is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.โ€

But what happens when a story is shared, and it seems like no one is listening?

For me, thatโ€™s where believing mirrors come in.๐Ÿชž

โ€œPut simply, a โ€œbelieving mirrorโ€ is a friend to your creativity-- someone who believes in you and your creativity.โ€ - Julia Cameron

My latest Substack article explores believing mirrors in depth- with a call to connect! ๐ŸŽจ And, it also shares about what it was like to share an untold story, and feel like it fell completely flat ๐Ÿซ

โ€œI make and share art as a way of giving back to the one who is giving to me.โ€

^these words were shared with me by a new friend and I had to pass along the response thatโ€™s arising in me as potential curious nourishment for you today:

I sense we can mostly agree on how revivifying it can feel to step away from the desk and out into Nature, breathing the fresh air and taking in the elements of the natural world, even if you find yourself in a busy shopping plaza, like where I witnessed the most incredible sunset last night.

What would it look and feel like to hold this sense of interrelationality with Nature just a little bit more as you move throughout your day today?

What might it do for your art (art as in, the way you express yourself and move through the world) โ€”-and for our world, to tune into this sense of receiving from and giving back to Nature just a little bit more today- and rather trying to think your way through to an answer, letting the question emerge?

Thank you for sparking this share ๐Ÿ

And thank you and your incredible musician friends for the epic wonder that is the Greater Mysteries album. The first time I heard the song Slowly I was flooded with memories and waves of remembering, and it led me down a rabbit hole of tracing down the lyrics to discover the work of artist Jenny Holzer. I also shared the song in a post to the Dharma Artist Collective pointing out the drum segment at the end as so absolutely epic, I couldnโ€™t help but laugh and cry. This album is such an extraordinary convergence of inspired Creators in communion and conversation with Creation.

Check out Kelliโ€™s Greater Mysteries album on bandcamp and join me in attending the opening performance at Widow Jane Mine in the Hudson River Valley. Iโ€™m aiming to overnight at ๐ŸŒŒ๐Ÿ™๐ŸŒน๐Ÿโœจ

This little line of text just fell out of one of my journals (I had pinned this from an IG graphic and printed it out as part of a vision board exercise with with Your Heartn 2023)

I can't help but notice the congruence between the palette and concept of text and artwork ๐ŸŽจ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ“š

I painted four of these Iris Bees, working with a single Iris flower that had gotten knocked down in the neighborhood earlier this spring, witnessing three blooms emerge one right after the other as I painted and dreamt with the flower by my headboard all week long.

I was contemplating the Greek Goddess Iris at the time, who emerges in rainbows and, like Mercury, is also a messenger of the Gods, and also carries a caduceus staff- and feeling into the correlations between the Messenger Goddess, and the corresponding symbolism of the Bee as a Divine Messenger.

I painted four Iris Bees (I surprised my highschool art teacher Phil with one for his birthday on 8/8) and I'll be listing the other 3 for sale soon.

Does this artwork want the text pasted into it? It seems like it could bee some bee-utifil meta-messaging, as the concept of "the intimacy of growing as individuals, together" speaks right to the depths of my heart's greatest dreams and desires. ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿ

(If you happen to know who posted this phrase to IG, please tag them!)

I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments ๐Ÿ’ญ

"The unlimited Creative Principle within you is the source of all art and wisdom. When you want to create something important, sit quietly and meditate deeply upon it. You will be guided by the creative Spirit, but you should also exercise determination in accomplishing your objective. Awaken initiative, which is the creative faculty within you- a spark from the divine Creator. You must do something which will show that God's creative principle is active within you."

"It's tempting to rein in the unruliness of the creative process, especially at the start. Planning lets you impose order on the chaotic process of making something new, but when it's taken too far you get locked into a status quo, and creative thinking is about breaking free FROM the status quo - even the one you made for yourself."

This genius message from the incredible in her bestselling book "The Creative Habit" fell out of one of my journal bookmarks over the weekend, and, with there being so much momentum around visioning and building collectively emerging, I'm breaking my own IG fast to share it:

As I find my self in this tension of form and formless at the start of 2025, I am finding renewed appreciation for the cocreative dance through Twyla's words:

The Emergence deck came into being through a rhythm and structure rooted in the sacred geometry of inner and outer cycles of Nature-

-yet, it ended up breaking its own rules four months in, as the structure that once served was starting to feel constrictive.

Shortly after letting go of the scaffolding that served the creation's initial stages of development was when the real co-creative magic began revealing:

As I continued tending the creative momentum, inspiration to work with the celestial sky unfolded: the metaphor of the North Star being the bindu of the 108/432 Metamorphic Mandala, 51% of the artwork borders honoring the night sky, and myriads of inspirations from the subtle to the gross, began revealing.

All I could do was keep showing up in wonder and devotion to the Muse.

Rooted in an intention to embody Love, (as baffling to logic as this seemed at the beginning) I was positioned for Fish-like fluidity and Spider-like sensitivity, coupled with Lion-hearted passion, Bullish perseverance, and Falcon-like responsiveness that felt regenerative in nature.

Bringing a scientific approach to the process helped me keep recommitting to the role I was "playing." I knew my results would only be as accurate as my commitment to fully embodying a hypothesis that creating from Love could inherently benefit the world, even if it felt like taking step after step in the dark. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐ŸŒŒ
