Rocknasium is an old-school community climbing gym that offers awesome climbing and fun programs. We like to keep things simple and accessible and offer our knowledge, experience and expertise to all of our climbers. Climbing can be an awesome workout, mental challenge,

and a fun escape from the everyday grind. Serving climbers in Davis, Sacramento and surrounding areas since 1992, Rocknasium has everything you need to get in shape, de-stress, and have fun. Come take a break from the everyday grind and flex those muscles on over 5000 square feet of awesome vertical terrain. And it's not just climbing - we've got climbing classes, pole dance classes, personal training, fitness equipment, youth programs, birthday parties, team building, and tons of cool events like the Banff Film Fest, gear demos, clinics, competitions and our famous monthly potlucks!

Aaaannnndddd just like that… we have benches & tables 🤩

You know we’re big on reusing & recycling, so when we heard our favorite restaurant in Auburn had these GORGEOUS redwood slabs (previously bar tops) up for grabs, we jumped on it!

Marko worked his magic, and now we have a new space for hanging out and getting some laptop work done between climbs (yuppp, there’s WiFi!) 💻

Now for the big question: WHERE ARE THE BOARDS?

Well - the boards have shipped from Europe, and are finally on the way! We’re expecting their arrival mid-month.

We really appreciate your patience during this time as we deal with these delays from international shipping 😮‍💨 However, we’re using this time to make sure this space is the absolute best training environment possible for our community. We’ll continue to pour effort and intention into every corner of it.

We are so grateful for your continued support, patience, and understanding as we build this space for you all, practically brick by brick. We couldn’t do it without this community!❤️

Alison became a certified yoga teacher nearly a year ago and has been climbing on and off for the past 10 years. Her classes blend movement, mindfulness, and flow in a way that feels both grounding and energizing 💫

You’ll start seeing her teaching both Gentle Flow and Vinyasa Flow on our schedule - and we couldn’t be more excited to have her sharing her practice with our community 🧘‍♀️

If you guessed the floor from yesterday’s story… YOU WERE RIGHT 👀🔥

This wild design came from mixing leftover scrap metal with floor stain — and somehow it turned out way cooler than we imagined.

While we (not-so-patiently) wait for the adjustable boards + padding to arrive, Marko has been here day in and day out turning this place into the coziest little community hub imaginable 🛠️🤍

We seriously cannot wait to open the doors and share this space with all of you!

TRAINING EXPANSION UPDATE 🚨

The spray wall + hangboard zone is officially DONE. 10x12, locked in at a 35° angle - ready for some serious sessions.

While we wait on the remaining boards & pads, we’re dialing in the details:
 ⭐️ Custom seating & tables ⭐️ Upgrading the outdoor space ⭐️ Finishing touches to make this the ultimate training & hangout spot
