We asked 2,112 TCS New York City Marathon runners what really happens when the marathon starts marathon-ing — aka mile 20 — aka “the wall.”

Turns out, plenty of us felt prepared. Plenty of us still hit the wall.

54% started faster than planned, 71% felt prepared but 83% still hit the wall, amongst others.

Your turn: What happens at your mile 20?

The future of running just pulled up. ☁️

In New York City, On brought the LightSpray Mobile and the athletes of OAC Global together for a closer look at what’s next: from the technology changing how shoes are made to the people pushing them forward.

Things got spooky at Halloween Run Crew! 👻

Our favorite costumes included a boo-rista serving up scares, a knight in shining armor, the one and only Jimothy and a pirate dog who stole the show. Congratulations to the winning team in our “scavenger haunt.” You followed the clues and left the competition in the graveyard 🪦

A big thank-you to HOKA for sponsoring the fun and letting us try the Arahi 9! The new Arahi pairs enhanced H-Frame™ technology with a soft, dual-density EVA midsole for a stable, cushioned ride. Its engineered mesh upper also adds targeted support along the inside of the foot.

Want to join the crew? Run Crew is free and meets every Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Fleet Feet Davis. Our “no runner left behind” format means we regroup throughout the run, so no one runs alone and everyone finishes together.

Come run with us—costumes optional, community guaranteed. 🎃

The Davis Run Crew selfie scavenger hunt was a success! ☀️🔎📸

Our crew walked, ran and explored three miles through the UC Davis Arboretum. We found the tallest tree in the redwood grove, played the piano at Wyatt Deck, imitated the Eggheads and spotted turkeys, ducks, turtles and even an otter den along the way.

It was the perfect mix of movement, teamwork and friendly competition to celebrate the final days of summer. Thanks to everyone who joined the adventure!

Christmas came a little early—and a lot warmer—in Davis! 🎄☀️ We shared three fun miles in a welcoming, no-runner-left-behind atmosphere, then kept the celebration going with some unforgettable Christmas onesies and festive cookie decorating. Our artistic skills were definitely on display, and every cookie was a holiday masterpiece in its own way.

A big thank-you to Nick from Altra for joining the fun and bringing demos of the new Torin 9. We got to experience its dual-density cushioning for a soft, stable ride, plus a durable Vibram® outsole built for confident road grip. Thanks to everyone who came out for the miles, cookies, laughs and community. 🎅🍪

200+ pounds of trash collected. That’s how Run Crew celebrates Earth Day 🌎
Huge thank you to everyone who showed up, ran, walked, and dragged trash from South Davis with us—no runner left behind, and no trash left behind either.

Shoutout to Brooks for bringing the demos and helping us flex a little extra out there 💪

Happy Earth Day 🌎 let’s keep showing up for the places we run.
