Toes Yoga of Chattanooga is an intimate yoga studio nestled in the Brainerd Arts District. We offer yoga classes for all abilities, from beginner to advanced. Our teachers are the most qualified in town and are capable of relating the class to individual needs. Some of our classes include meditation, flow, fundamentals, Vinyasa, prenatal, Yin, and more.

August is really turning up the heat! As we move through the third week of the month, we're in the middle of an extreme heat wave. And sometimes the best response to all that intensity is to slow down.

Yoga gives us that opportunity.

There’s something about the second week of August that feels like a gentle turning point. Summer isn't quite over, but the pace is beginning to change. School starts, schedules fill back up, and we begin settling into the rhythm of a new season.

Transitions like these are a beautiful reminder to check in with ourselves. What do you need more of? What helps you feel grounded? Where can you create a little more space to simply be?

Yoga Nidra is a deeply restful, guided practice that invites the body to relax fully while awareness remains present. Practiced lying down, this class supports stress reduction, nervous system balance, and profound rest. In this traditional Yoga Nidra class, you will be guided into a state of conscious rest. Through systematic relaxation and awareness, the practice promotes deep restoration, mental clarity and inner calm. the first portion of this class will begin with a small restorative practice to move our bodies and bring calm to our nervous systems allowing our minds to be in the most beneficial space for a Nidra practice.

Before long, routines will change, schedules will fill, and autumn will begin to peek around the corner.

Rather than rushing ahead, let this week be an invitation to stay present. Savor the sunshine. Notice the beauty around you. Take a deep breath before moving on to the next thing. Since the buck moon is in Aquarius this year, there is a community aspect at play as well since one of the things that Aquarius represents is intentional community. This is a perfect full moon to spend with your people or visualizing the type of community you would like to be a part of. (medium.com)
