The Charlotte Cardinals Rugby Club are beyond proud to stand alongside , Rugby Riot, and our incredible sponsor GS2 for a cause that means so much to all of us.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, donations from PepsiCo, and the heart of this amazing community, we raised $1,320 for Clair’s Army and Team Golden Shorts in support of children and families battling childhood cancer.

And the impact gets even bigger — GS2 is MATCHING every dollar raised, bringing our total donation to an incredible $2,640.00! 💛✨

This is what rugby family is all about: showing up for one another, fighting side by side, and proving that no one battles alone.

From the Rugby Riot newsletter on May 15: If you’re watching the Charlotte Cardinals at Nationals this week, keep an eye out—one player will be wearing gold shorts.

It’s part of a new initiative with their team sponsors: $10 will be donated to Claire’s Army. for every point the Cardinals score during the tournament.

Each game, the captain—or previous match MVP-gets the honor of wearing the gold shorts as a symbol of the initiative.
