POV: you take the trip everyone says your kids are “too young” to remember anyway. 🏔️🤍
Somewhere between the snow in June, carrying a toddler up a mountain, sibling fights in the rental car, overpriced coffee, and everyone yelling “MOM LOOK!” every 14 seconds… I realized this is the stuff I’ll miss one day.
Not the perfectly planned itinerary.
Not the matching outfits.
Not whether we “did enough.”
Just us. Together. Crammed in a hotel room in bathrobes, riding gondolas, and hiking up “big giant rock piles!!!!”
Traveling with kids can be hard and honestly SO expensive, but to me it’s become really important. Both my husband and I work, and we live far away from family, so it’s often easier to use vacation time visiting relatives or friends.
And while those trips matter too, I’ve realized there’s something really special about taking trips that are just ours. Just our little family making memories together while the kids are still little.
Banff honestly felt like stepping into another planet… and now Charleston humidity is personally attacking me. 😂
If you’ve been debating taking the trip with little kids because it feels “too hard”… do it anyway.
They may not remember every detail, but they’ll remember how it felt to be together. And honestly? You will too. 🤍
