USRowing Youth Nationals 2026 🌮🚣🏆

It might have been over a week ago, but here at ERC we’re still taking in the highs of an unreal weekend of racing in Sarasota. From podium finishes to senior send offs!

This year, ERC sent four crews to Youth Nationals, proudly representing Eugene on the national stage. With 14 athletes competing, this was one of the largest Nationals groups in program history and another exciting milestone for ERC.

One of the biggest highlights of the weekend was a program-first National Championship title from our Men’s U17 4+. This crew raced together all season long, earning first-place finishes at multiple regattas and Regionals before capping off an incredible year with a first-place finish at Youth Nationals. We could not be more proud of the commitment, grit, and speed this crew showed throughout the season.

Three of our four crews advanced to A Finals, a testament to the depth and strength of this group. From hard-fought semifinal races to thrilling photo finishes, especially in the Men’s 4+, every crew left it all on the course and represented ERC with determination and pride.

Nationals Results:
Women’s U17 2x - 1st place (Final C)
Women’s 2- - 7th place (Final A)
Men’s 4+ - 6th Place (Final A)
Men’s U17 4+ - 1st Place (Final A) đŸ„‡

Congratulations to all our athletes and strong racing all crews! And as always, a massive thank you is in order for our coaches and community who made the weekend possible. Your commitment and encouragement made our success this season possible, thank you! đŸ’ȘđŸ©·

Last but certainly not least for senior spotlights we have, Lucy Davis đŸšŁđŸ»â€â™€ïžđŸŽ“

Fueled each season by bolt energy chews and chocolate chips, Lucy has been a steadfast teammate and athlete at ERC during her time here.

From a historic moment of racing the W Youth 2- semifinal at Youth Nationals ‘25, to going to San Diego Crew classic 2026 with the team and racing the W4x. She leaves behind a hard to miss impact both off and on the water.

What are you most thankful this sport gave you?:
“A community of people who believe in me and push me to be my best self.”

What do you hope you get athletes carry forward from your senior class?
“Resilience and excellence. I hope that future athletes are inspired by this class’s dedication and ability to persist through disappointments and injuries. I hope they take away that even though we are a small club, we can make a big impact and do great things.”

Favorite quote?:
“Pack your own parachute.” - Coach Josh

After graduation, Lucy will be attending Oregon State University Honors College, and has committed to row on the OSU Women’s Rowing Team.

Thank you Lucy for your leadership and dedication, along with everything else you’ve brought to the team. We can’t wait to see what‘s next for you!
