Please Welcome Demetrius Romero To The Familia!!! Romero Will Be Focusing. on Freestyle/Greco/Leg Riding. One Of The Most Accomplished Wrestlers To Ever Come Out Of Idaho And A Mountain View Alum. It’s Just A Natural Fit Leading Class On Wednesday Nights And Available For Private One On One Instruction Wednesday’s and Sundays. Come Add To Your Skill Set With Another Amazing Coach!!! Just Some Of His Accomplishments Below. There Were To Many To Post Demetrius Romero is a standout Utah Valley University (UVU) wrestler, known as the program’s first-ever Big 12 champion (2019) and a 2021 NCAA All-American (6th place at 174 lbs). A two-time Big 12 champion, he achieved the highest national seed in school history (No. 2 in 2021) and was a 2019 NCAA Round of 12 finisher.

* NCAA All-American (2021): Placed 6th at the NCAA Division I Championships at 174 lbs.
* Big 12 Champion (2019, 2021): Became UVU’s first-ever Big 12 Champion in 2019 (165 lbs) and won a second title in 2021.
* Highest National Seed: Entered the 2021 NCAA Championship as the No. 2 seed.
* Consistent Performer: 2019 NCAA Round of 12 (165 lbs), 3rd place at the 2019 Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invite.
* Record: Finished 2021 with a 90.48% win percentage.
* Background: Native of Meridian, Idaho, and attended Mountain View High School.
