Athletic Haven We are trying to level the playing field! We run year round camps, clinics and teams in basketball, soccer, softball and baseball.

Athletic Haven is a Non-profit organization that offers low cost sports training and no cost travel teams to under-served student-athletes in the Capital Region of New York. There benefits of athletics in kids lives is immeasurable, but with rising costs, tougher competition and over-bearing parents, kids are getting left behind. Our teams also participate in a Pay It Forward program, called Aware

ness Athletics, that raises funds for local charities, teaching them the benefits of philanthropy. Funds are also raises for our TSM Fund, which is a scholarship program started in memory of the founders son Tyler Scott McIntyre, who tragically lost his life in a car accident in 2012. Tyler was an amazing kid with an infectious smile. He was happy, caring, a great teammate, loved to help people, was extremely resilient and made everything fun. We can think of no better way to honor his memory, than to help local student-athletes who display these qualities.

The 2026 Fore the Kids Golf Outing was filled with great shots, plenty of laughs, and an incredible community coming together to support local kids through sports.

Every foursome, sponsor, volunteer, and supporter helped make a real impact — and we’re so grateful for all of you. Already counting down to next year. 🙌

🏀 Team Spotlight: Kate Schwenker

For the past year and a half, Kate has been a huge part of what we’re building at Athletic Haven — leading on the court, supporting our players, and helping create the kind of environment every kid deserves.

Her passion for the game shows up in the way she connects with players, encourages growth, and makes sure every athlete feels supported while they develop their skills.

We’re grateful to have coaches like Kate who truly care about the experience we’re creating for the next generation.

(And fun fact… her eye for detail goes beyond the court, too 📸)

Our Summer Pickup Sessions are built for kids who love to compete. These 75-minute sessions are all game — structured pickup with a running clock, supervised by our coaches to keep things competitive, fun, and flowing.

No drills, no downtime — just high-level play and a chance to stay sharp all summer long.

🏀 The 3v3 League (Powered by Pioneer) has been 🔥

70 kids, nonstop energy, and some seriously competitive games — with 10 of 16 decided by 4 points or less.

This is what it’s all about: kids competing, improving, and having a blast every time they hit the court.

🏀 Looking for the perfect way to keep your child active this summer?

Our week-long Athletic Haven Basketball Camp is all about fun, development, and building confidence — on and off the court. From fundamental skill work to exciting contests and challenges, kids will stay moving, learning, and competing all week long.

But it’s more than just basketball. We’re helping kids grow in teamwork, problem solving, sportsmanship, and overcoming challenges — skills that go far beyond the game.
