A mother’s love isn’t something that’s quantified in moments, phone calls, or # of hugs.
A mother’s love is the safety you feel in the hug, the freedom you have to dream because you’re taken care of, the security of knowing someone has your back when you feel the world and others are against you.
My mother left me with these truths. The truth that love and family come first, being an unapologetic woman is our birth right, that I am bigger than any one moment, a get s**t done attitude no matter how hard, and to love and accept people for who they are.
My mom was the inner light of my life and I don’t think I shared that openly, I don’t think knew how deeply she’s impacted by life until now...it becomes more clear each day.
Please stop believing, for just this moment, that you have more time. Please embrace that right now is the time you have, the people in front of you are who you have, and if you haven’t called your mom , your dad, your family, or friends to you love them and they bring light into your life just by being them, this is your reminder. ❤️.
