A full house and a superb night at Torbay Sailing Club for our 2026 Prizegiving.

Winter mode: ACTIVATED ❄️
Our pride and joy, Lady Waiake, is off the water and onto the hard for the season. She’s looking good in the Torbay Sailing Club compound and ready for some much needed off-season TLC.

While she's on the hard, we are shifting focus to fundraising. While the long-term goal is the completion of our new boat, we need to raise funds now to give Lady Waiake the upgrades she deserves to keep our club racing on the water going in the meantime. Every bit of support helps us maintain our community and, of course, our sailors sailing.

A massive thank you to everyone who pitched in to help move her—it’s awesome to see the club come together to look after our gear. ❤️

Although we have put Lady Waiake to rest our winter coaching is all go!!

⛵️ Torbay Sailing Club Champs: That’s a Wrap!

What a weekend! The wind played ball(for the most part😂) What a great first full weekend for our Annual Club Championships.

From battles on the water to the laughs back at the clubhouse, it was a showcase of the talent we have here at Torbay.

Huge thanks to our race committee, the safety boat crews, and all the volunteers who made the weekend run like clockwork.

🏆 Congratulations to our 2026 Champions!

We saw some incredible performances across all fleets. A massive shout-out to our podium finishers

Wrapping up the season in style! ⛵️🍕

What a way to close out the final day of club champs at Torbay Sailing Club. We couldn't have asked for better conditions—blue skies, a steady breeze, and a massive fleet out on the water.

But let’s be honest, the action on land was just as good. Nothing beats that post-race buzz with a slice of pizza in one hand and an ice cream in the other while we wait for the prize giving to kick off. 🍦✨

Huge thanks to everyone who made this season one to remember. See you at the finish line! 🏁

⛵️ Just Another Perfect Day on the Water at Torbay!

There’s nothing quite like the sight of a full fleet and a clear horizon. It’s been an incredible run of sailing lately.

Whether you’re out there for the competitive edge or just soaking in the views of the Gulf, this is what Torbay Sailing Club is all about. 🌊

Huge shoutout to all our sailors—young and old—for showing up with so much energy and making our community the best on the coast. 🤙

Congratulations to Mark Shaw for winning the J14 North Islands at French Bay this past weekend.

After a bit of a mixed start on Saturday, Mark found his rhythm on Day Two. He sailed consistently enough to maintain his overnight lead, eventually taking the title by 5 points against a competitive fleet.

Well done to Mark, and a good effort from Luke, Gavin, and the rest of the Torbay sailors who competed!!!
