This message made our day. 💙

We received this unsolicited feedback from Westbrook FC after the Vipers travelled to Rotorua.
We couldn't be prouder, and we just have to share it with our Football community.

💬 "Their team showed great sportsmanship throughout the day. The players were friendly, encouraging, and respectful... their parents and coaches cheering on our team alongside their own, which created a really positive and welcoming atmosphere for everyone involved."

To every player, parent, and coach who made that trip and showed up for Westbrook as much as they did for themselves — thank you. You are what Blue Rovers is all about. 💙⚽

Men's Bay League - First Team
We were eager to put the demons of last year behind us with Papamoa where they took all 6 points from us. Our goal this game was to secure points. The boys had fire in their eyes pre-game, determined, hungry but the plan had to shift when we stepped foot on the very small field. We opened the scoring in the 1st half through some great link-up play from our midfield. The half was drawing to a close when their wandering striker found himself in-front of our back line but also found the back of the net, and we went 1-1 into the half. 2 quick goals from our right wing saw us take the lead 3-1. Late in the second half their striker found himself in front of our line. He received the ball, shot and scored but they were offside and the final score was 3-2 to the boys in blue. We now sit top of the table with Taupo.
Goals - G Clarke 1, M Laurence 2
Assists - C Park 1, S Sutcliffe 1, M Warrender 1
Man of the match - E Little

Men's Bay League - Second Team
Our second team played Papamoa old boys at Gordon Spratt this weekend. We went into the game with high hopes of putting a win on the board after improvements week-on-week. We struggled again for numbers with no subs available, but the boys dug deeper and took an early lead that we just kept extending. The boys didn't take the foot of the gas once, and finished with a 6-2 win. Well done boys. Time to push hard and continue on through the season.
