Originally called Oakshott equestrian because we were on Oakshott road we have decided to rename the page The PONY Collab. this us because we are a collaboration of talents, ideas and inspirations. it's not one person it's many and we are always learning and developing our skills. We started off doing lessons but quickly found we had a unique service to offer people with ponies. There are no child

ren that ride and train like Giselle does . She has ridden close to 200 horses and ponies broken in, started, restarted or retrained dozens of ponies for people and the results speak for themselves. Check out some our latest projects. They are trained by children because ultimately they are going to be ridden by children and what better way to get them started than by the very size of rider that they will end up with. Ponies quickly work out who is on their backs and what's expected and there is nothing better than to get your new pony child proof. Giselle will start on them and then we have Quaid and Arya to help check their progress and see who they are suitable for. We also sell on behalf, we can get you pony fit Feel free to contact us any time either on 021474739 or send us an email

We have moved yet again 😭 only because the house we had was literally falling apart and the black mould was crazy. So poor Amaro keeps getting put on the back burner as stuff always happens.

I did a bit of ground work on the week leading up to the move but now we are at the new place (next to our old old place funnily enough) we have a quiet farm to ride on which suits us way better.

Always pays to be nice and appreciated people who are good to you, don't take them for granted ✨️.

At any rate, Amaro is pretty good with obstacles and such. He was always head shy when he first arrived, making him hard to catch, not because he ran away but because he didn't want a halter on. Hated the bridle too.

I think perhaps this stage was rushed by whoever started him originally. So we are over that now but still anything above his head he pulls away from. Getting better though 😊.

We will get him going again over winter and he is available if we can find the right home for him.

Liberty is off adventuring without her mum which is great news.

We need to start the weaning process. Over the next wee while we will be slowly separating them. I'm always careful because I worry separation anxiety can start at this point if you do it wrong. I get some foals are not bothered and I get some dams are happy to go their separate ways but these 2 are usually quite attached.

This is a first foal which is always a bit more difficult I think. Anyway we will keep you posted.

Slowly getting Amaro back into work after months off babysitting and recovering from a pulled muscle.

As always he is super chilled. A bit too chilled for what we do so once we have him a bit fitter he will be available.

Approximately 15hh, 9 year old QH gelding. Just had his teeth done so he's good to go.

Only thing we have found is he is a bit head shy and doesn't like any bits we have tried and we have tried so many. We ride him bitless and he's never given us a reason to change.

Excuse the hair cut the scissors were blunt and it was dark but ill fix it up I promise 😆

I love taking the time to float train without pressure. Every time we have trained foals like this, its been a non event later on. Zadel was trained like this, Ruffy, Toffee, Genie, Starfire, Aztec, Saffy, Rae Rae, Mars, Marvel and any other young ones we have had.

They decide to get on and then it's never a big deal. The worst thing you can do is put pressure on them when they are in the exact place you want them to be.

That's why I hate watching people whack their horses at the ramp, or constantly clicking, flicking, growling, yanking, flapping etc when they are where you want them to be.

Have patience and wait. Miracles happen when you have time to let them develop ❤️

Tuakau Tornados strike again, thats 3 events we have managed as a team and 3 times we have come away with great results. Ballyndene, teams ODE and now Teams SJ Lorna Stewart cup we achieved a 2nd overall.

Zadels jump offs were the fastest by far, 4 seconds in the first round which is huge. He just is a little lazy with the back legs on the smaller heights so we need to work on that.

Once he's got that, they may just be a force to he reckoned with 🥰
