JUNE 13 / 14 FIXTURES FOR THE REDS

Five of our six senior teams will be in action this weekend with Saturday and Sunday seeing a brace of games each day at OTD

The TSH Western Premier Men are the one away teams as they head down SH3 to Feilding, attempting to replicate their 2-0 first round win. The young side will be looking to start well and enjoy getting another away game ticked off.

Sunday belongs to the ladies as we have two exciting fixtures at home.

The Excel Refrigeration Fed Women host Port Hill United Football Club for the very first time at home and look forward to making a little bit of history, but also repaying the awesome hospitality we received on our recent trip to Napier.

The Championship women host Peringa United, who will have the opportunity to sneak away with the leagues Challenge Cup if they get things right against the REDS. UP4THECUP.

PLENTY OF THE 2026 SEASON STILL TO GO

JOIN THE JOURNEY FOR THE SECOND HALF OF THE SEASON!

Whether you're new to the game, returning after some time away, new to town, or looking for a fresh challenge, we have opportunities across our teams for players keen to pull on the RED shirt.

The season is far from over. There are still plenty of matches to play across our 6 senior sides.

It's also the perfect chance to establish yourself within the club and lay the foundations for an exciting 2027 season.

THE MOTUROA AFC SWEEP STAKE DRAW IS DONE!

The balls have been drawn, the nations have been assigned, and the road to FIFA World Cup 2026 glory is officially underway!

A massive thank you to everyone who supported the Moturoa AFC World Cup Sweepstake. Every ticket purchased helps support our club, our players, and the continued growth of football at Moturoa AFC.

Some of our members are already smiling after landing tournament heavyweights. Club president Soctty will be dreaming of a sixth star with Brazil, Ange K has current world champions Argentina, Tamaari gets powerhouse France, while Anna, our women's club captain, will be hoping England can finally bring football home.

But before the favourites start measuring the trophy cabinet, World Cups have a habit of producing heroes from unexpected places.

Keep an eye on Morocco, Croatia, Uruguay, Japan, Switzerland and our very own New Zealand. One giant-killing run could turn a dark horse into a sweepstake legend!

Now the challenge is simple:

Survive the group stage, Win the knockout battles and go on to Lift the biggest trophy in world football

We'll be keeping an eye on the action throughout the tournament, so stay tuned for updates, leaderboard movements and plenty of banter as nations rise and fall.

And while you're following your World Cup team, don't forget to get along and support the REDS at our upcoming home fixtures, club events and fundraising activities. The football never stops at Moturoa AFC.

Good luck to all 48 entrants

RESULTS TO ROUND OUT MAY

The Excel Refrigeration Women's Federation League side got the weekend off to the perfect start following a big overnight trip to Napier. The girls returned home with all three points after a deserved 3-1 victory over Port Hill United. Fernanda Toscani continued her excellent season in front of goal, helping herself to a brace as Moturoa controlled large periods of the match.

The Western Premiership men looked set to claim all three points after leading deep into the contest against PN Marist. Unfortunately, a late equaliser in the 88th minute meant the spoils were shared in a hard-fought 1-1 draw. While there was disappointment at conceding so late, there were plenty of positives to take from a determined performance.

Our Division 2 men dug deep and were rewarded for their efforts with a valuable 4-3 victory over NPBH 2nd XI. In a hotly contested game, the side showed some grit and detemination to earn three important competition points away from home.

Division 3 found themselves chasing the game after a slow start against Peringa United. Despite working hard to get themselves back into the contest, the early deficit proved too much to overcome. The side won't have to wait long for another opportunity, with a cup fixture awaiting on King's Birthday Monday.

The Withers Moturoa Masters continued their excellent start to the season with another winning display, remaining unbeaten and sitting at the top of the table following a convincing 6-0 win over Hawera FC. Taylor Lucinsky produced a tidy hat-trick to cap off a good day on the grass.
