Malia is packed, ready and EXCITED to head off to Kartsport Bay of Plenty today! She will be proudly representing her school at the KartSport New Zealand National Schools Championship over the weekend!

Malia loves being a Year 6 student at St Joseph's Catholic School New Plymouth. This is the first time Malia will be representing her new school and she can't wait to do them proud!

Today we are off to the KartSport New Zealand Schools National Championship at Kartsport Bay of Plenty!

Hudson will be proudly representing Francis Douglas Memorial College where he is a year 9 student. FDMC is an epic school and Hudson can't wait to do them proud alongside Cash Feek who will also be representing the school! Lets go boys!

Nationals here she comes!!

Malia is beyond excited to be heading away to Hamilton today to race the NZ National Sprint Championship over the long weekend! But first it’s a stop at our wonderful sponsor The Kiwi Butcher Shop for some fuel to get her through the weekend!

Super proud of this kid. First big race weekend at the KartSport New Zealand NZKGP in VMR since moving up from Cadets and managed a Top 20 finish out of a field of 44. P17 overall for the weekend!

Had a tough race start for the final, kart bogged and dropped right back, but managed to race forward a few places. Then an accident brought out the virtual safety kart which mean a single file restart. Had a great restart and made more good passes forward! 👊

Practice Day done!

With Hudson away at school camp, Malia and Jordan packed up and headed to Kartsport Hamilton. Malia’s smile said it all!

She comes off the track today from practice feeling happy and ready to tackle the KartSport New Zealand NZ GP tomorrow. Qualifying is up first thing tomorrow morning and it willl be livestreamed.

Malia has looked up to Rianna since she first started karting, to have a role model who is so generous with her time really is something very special .. even if it means early starts and late nights to make the time difference work!😆

KartSport Taranaki Club Champs Done! ✅

What a massive weekend! First thing Saturday we headed out to the track for what was meant to be quick couple of hours practice … at 6pm we left! Set up changes for Malia just weren’t clicking but after hours of patience and valuable advice we knew we were getting somewhere!

Sunday rolled around and back to the track we went. Hudson’s day was one of multi-tasking…you see he made a special promise to his Nana about running the last Coastal Five event with her that day, so when the club champs date changed, Hudson being a man of his word was not about to let Nana Sally down 🖤 This meant we would inevitably miss some racing on the Sunday. Mum raced out to the track after work to get Hudson and sped into town with him throwing him at the start line just before the event kicked off! He ran the event then jumped back in the car to get back to the track.. thankfully lunch had fallen at just the right time meaning he only missed one heat phew!! Hudson was stoked to finish 2nd for the day 🥈

Malia’s day was challenging at times but in true Malia form she raced the final with everything she had which secured her 2nd place for club champs!! 🥈 Having only moved up to VMR this year she was quietly happy .. and stoaked for her number one race gal pal Freya for taking out the win! In fact all three female drivers on track walked away ahead of the boys 😉
