The students from Wainuiomata High School Basketball who attended the Hoop Nation Tournament during the last week of the school holidays would like to acknowledge and thank the amazing businesses, whānau, and community groups who got behind us.

Because of your support, our students not only looked professional in their new uniforms, but 16 young men were also able to experience a tournament that only one player had attended before. Opportunities like this create memories, growth, confidence, and experiences that go far beyond basketball.

Today marked the final day of our Give It a Go basketball programme for our tamariki.

We wrapped it up with some kai and quality time with the whānau who came along to support.

A huge thank you to Terry for leading these sessions and sharing your knowledge and passion with our tamariki. It’s truly appreciated.

We’d also like to thank Nuku Ora and Wainuiomata High School for your ongoing support.

We look forward to seeing you all at the next block we run!

This Easter we’re running a 1-day social basketball tournament to help raise funds for the Wainui High boys heading to Hoop Nations.

Week 2 of Give It a Go Basketball 🏀

Another awesome afternoon on the court with our kids.

Huge thank you to Coach Terry for delivering another successful session, and to Raymond for your support on the court – we appreciate you both 👏

The kids are building confidence every week, working on:

It’s the big day for our Monday Night Mixed Social League!

Congratulations to Sunbeam and Splash for securing the top two spots and earning their place in the grand final at 5.30pm GYM 2.

Warriors vs Celtics – 4:30 PM (Playing for 3rd & 4th place) GYM 2

Hoops vs Jittabugs – 5:30 PM (Playing for 5th & 6th place) GYM 1

After the games, join us for Prizegiving & Light Refreshments at 6:30 PM.

Congratulations to Stream and God’s Kingdom for securing their spots in the Finals for 1st and 2nd place!

We’ll be having Finals Games for all teams on Thursday, October 30th.
