WAFL is seeking applications for three Senior Committee positions for 2021/2022; President, Secretary and Umpire Representative.

Hey team, for those interested in Gaelic Football, a new season of socials (no contact, mixed teams) is just around the corner (starting in early Nov). Wellington GFHA are running 3 beginners sessions in the lead up to the new season.

These sessions will be perfect for returning players from last year and especially for brand new players keen to learn the basics.
Please spread the word and bring along anyone who wants to give it a go! This is how I got involved in Gaelic sports, and I can honestly say I am a better AFL player for playing Gaelic football - plus they're just a great group of people!

Sessions will be on Wednesday evenings, 6.30 - 7.30 at Ian Galloway Park. The sessions will be on Wed 14th October, 21st October and 28th October.
All skill and fitness levels are welcome!

Excellent day out for the Wellington Women's Compromise Rules Match! Welly GAA took the win in a hotly contested match against our women's Tigers! Final score 31 - 29. Congratulations to all involved, in the first of hopefully many compromise matches to come!

Do you ever want to go for a kick, but your partner/sister/daughter/mum/cousin/(club/flat/work/school)mate claims she doesn't know how to? If you know of any women who would be interested in giving AFL a go, get them down to the Footy Frenzy this Sunday before the WAFL games. AFLNZ will cover the basic skills of AFL, and give a rundown of pathways for Women's footy in NZ!

27 WAFL players at training this morning. Gave us room for some big drills and as couple of games at the end. We will be doing this again for the next 2 weeks before round one. Watch out for the invite which will be shared with all clubs. Cheers Kempy
