Lochiel School and Central Pirates Rugby Football Club are coming together again for Night at the Races fundraiser! Raising funds for both the school and the club, this promises to be a fantastic night out filled with laughs, friendly competition, great food, and plenty of entertainment.

Join us on Saturday 27th June at Central Pirates Rugby Club for an exciting evening of racing fun!

🎟 Tickets: $25.00 per person
🐴 Horses: $20.00 per horse
🍽 Dinner included
🍻 Bar open all night
🚌 Courtesy coach available

✨ WHAT TO EXPECT
• Horses are available for purchase when buying your ticket via the Google Form
• Buy your own wooden racing horse and give it a name
• Horses race in fun heats throughout the night by being wound up and released
• Place friendly bets on the races and back your favourites
• Cheer on your horse as it races for glory and bragging rights!

You don’t need to purchase a horse to enjoy the night, just grab a ticket and come along for a great evening of fun, racing, and entertainment.

• You must purchase a ticket to be eligible to purchase a horse
• One horse may be purchased per ticket

What a great game of rugby yesterday in the mud at Nightcaps. Unfortunately it wasn’t the result we were after but it was a game that our team can be proud of, thank you to everyone who came and supported and made for a very special day remembering a fantastic man 🖤💪

A historic day on the rugby calendar as Transport Services LTD Nightcaps Ohai Nightcaps Rugby Football Club and Central Pirates Rugby Football Club contested the inaugural Ox McEwan Memorial Shield.

As you can see Southland certainly turned on the weather, and it took plenty of grit, determination, and true rugby spirit from both sides to battle through the conditions. A hard-fought game that honoured the occasion perfectly.

Congratulations to Ohai on securing the win, and a huge thank you to everyone who came along to support the teams and help make the first Memorial Shield match such a special event. 🏉👏

Here is your team to take on Ohai Nightcaps-Otautau in Nightcaps. This weekend we remember and acknowledge a great man, a life member of Central Pirates and a great friend to many. Those that knew Ox will know how driven he was to do the best for Central Pirates through management, support and sponsorship. He gave everything 100% with a no nonsense attitude and we are privileged to have had Ox involved in our club for so long.

Kickoff is at 3pm, supporters bus is leaving the Waikiwi Tavern car park at 1pm and the Top Pub Winton car park at 1.45pm. See you all there 🔥🔥⚫️⚫️

The senior team has prepared well this week and are fizzing to take on Woodlands. Special mention to Louis Patterson who plays his 25th game earning his cap. Louis joined us in 2024 and has been a crucial part of our backline since spending most weeks in the 9 jersey 🔥
