THIS ONE IS FOR THE LADIES.

Calling fighters of all ages, ladies and gents.

This October, Boxing Alley is bringing you GRASSROOTS 5, and this one will fight for something bigger than boxing.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Every year, more than 3,700 New Zealanders are diagnosed with breast cancer, with around 650 lives lost to the disease.

Behind those numbers are mothers, daughters, sisters, partners, friends and families whose lives have been changed forever.

So this time, WE FIGHT FOR THEM. 🩷

Grassroots 5 will be held in honour of everyone affected by breast cancer, those fighting, those who have survived, the families standing beside them, and those we have lost.

The night will include live auctions, prizes and fundraising, with a Givealittle page available for anyone wanting to contribute.

If you’ve ever thought about stepping into the ring, challenging yourself and doing something that has PURPOSE beyond yourself, this is your opportunity.

The next generation of boxing is ready to step through the ropes.

Join us for an afternoon of action as 20 athletes showcase their hard work, courage and commitment in 10 exhibition bouts. Every boxer has spent weeks preparing for this moment, and now they need your support.

This isn’t about titles or trophies. It’s about building confidence, gaining experience and growing the future of our sport.

WE DID A THING!!!

12 weeks of hard work, discipline and commitment, not just to ourselves, but to each other, to our team@and to a cause far bigger than boxing.

This wasn’t just a fight camp. This was purpose in motion.

Through this journey, our fighters didn’t just prepare for the ring, they stood for something. In support of New Dawn Foundation, an organisation doing real, meaningful work for those navigating trauma, creating pathways toward healing, resilience and rebuilding lives. This is what it’s about.

I want to acknowledge the teams, the coaches, the fighters, the officials, and every single supporter who showed up and contributed to an incredible night. This doesn’t happen without you — full stop.

A special thank you to the New Dawn Foundation, thank you for trusting us and aligning with our vision. This is only the beginning. We cherish your mahi and stand alongside those with the courage to step forward and begin their healing journey.
