After 8 years of dedicated coaching with our club, this week we say a huge thank you to Nigel as he finishes up his coaching journey with us.
Nigel and his family have been a massive part of our club for over 11 years, with his three children all proudly representing the club — including two successful national swimmers. Throughout that time, Nigel gave so much of himself to the club, not only as a coach across Development Squad, Junior B’s, and most recently leading our Junior A squad for the last two years, but also as Chairperson of the club.
Nigel was always willing to give his time and energy wherever it was needed, and his contribution to the club over the years has been enormous.
More than just a coach, Nigel was a real character around the pool — always great craic, hugely respected by swimmers, parents and fellow coaches alike, and someone who brought energy, commitment and positivity to every session.
The impact he has had on so many young swimmers over the years will not be forgotten, and his presence around the club will be sorely missed.
On behalf of everyone in the club, thank you Nigel for everything you’ve done. We wish you and your family all the very best for the future.
