We are running another beginners course starting this Tuesday 14th April. This beginners course is the ideal time to start Judo as you will start with other beginners and will learn the basics of the sport in a fun, safe and friendly environment. Full details below

Congratulations to our judoka who travelled to Dublin last weekend for the All Ireland Schools Championships. We had a very successful day with 2 gold 🥇and some great performances from our other judoka. Tiffany also referred once again and performed very well. Next up, Munster Closed in May 💪🏼

Last weekend one of our members, Tiffany Massyn, won ‘Player of the Tournament’ at the Galway Open Judo Championships. Tiffany was selected as the recipient after she initially won gold in her own age/weight category, but she continued to fight in an older category at two wight classes up (after they merged the categories) and also fought on the KSJ team in the team event where she once again competed valiantly against judoka who were larger and older than her. Tiffany always fights with grit and determination, be it in the club or in competition, a trait which will stand to her both on and off the mat 💪🏼 It’s great to see this approach to her judo being recognised by others outside of the club 👏🏽

🥋 Learn something new in 2026 🥋

We are running a Beginners/Returners 5 Week Judo Course starting next Tuesday 13th January. The course is open to all ages and ability levels and is also open for those who want to rejoin judo after being off the mat for a while.

📆 Starts Tuesday 13th January 2026

🥋 Juniors (6-14yrs) 6:30-7:30pm
🥋 Seniors (14yrs +) 7:30-8:20pm

📍 Kielduff Community Centre V92 KO61

Improve your strength and fitness, learn self defence techniques, improve balance and core stability and learn how to fall/land correctly, all whilst having fun and meeting new people.

Tag someone here you think should try it out 👍🏼

No judo suit or equipment is needed. Just come in clothes comfortable for training.

Best of luck ☘️ to our Head Coach Danny Roche who is representing Ireland 🇮🇪 at the World Veterans World Championships in Paris France this Week.

Danny is competing in the u66kg category on Wednesday 5th November. A few of the senior club members are travelling over to support him and we will keep you updated with his performance and results over the coming days.

Congratulations to Jonathan, Nicolas, Finn, Alfie, Roisin, Dasha, Quinn and Bernardo for fighting so well in he Mini Mons in yesterday

All judoka fought with great determination and came home with a mix of Gold, Silver and Bronze medals. The competition is great preparation for upcoming Munster Open and All Ireland Championships.

Well done to all judoka and their parents for making the journey 💪🏼

‼️ We are back this Tuesday ‼️

We are returning to training on Tuesday 23rd September. Training will take place the same times as usual; Kids 6:30-7:30pm and Seniors (16+) 7:30-8:30pm.

📆 Tuesdays: Kielduff Community Centre, (V92 KO61).

📆 Thursdays: Classes will start back up in Tralee the following week with a venue to be confirmed.

Here is our Judo Team which was victorious winning the men’s team event at the Galway Open last weekend. Congratulations to Vanya, Jack and JT, and to Tengiz who had to withdraw from the team event after picking up an injury on his was to winning gold medal in his weight category.

The club has a host of other medals from our kids to seniors, but winning the team event for the second year in a row was the icing on the cake. Congratulations to everyone involved.
