Gaynor Cup Shield Final

The very best of luck to RDYSL Academy in their shield final, kicking off now in Limerick.
They play Derry in this final.

This hard working team played incredibly well yesterday when they beat North Tipperary in the semi final. Ava took a corner, Mya had her shot saved and Robyn was on hand to get the rebound.

The win was deserved as each player worked for it.

Derry District League face off agaisnt Roscommon in the Shield Final!

Best wishes to the RDYSL Academy Girls who will meet North Tipperary in the Shield semi final this afternoon at 1:30pm

These girls had two tough physical games on Wednesday when they played Donegal and Dublin in their group. Yesterday, they competed in the Shield competition. In the morning they beat Inter League champions Kilkenny and were drawn again to play their quarter final against a rested Kerry side. In a very competitive game it ended 0-0 at full time. A penalty shootout prevailed, Roscommon scored their 5 penalties well. Ava and Robyn both converted while Caitlin in goal made great saves throughout the game. Kerry went wide with their last spot kick.

⚽️🏆Gaynor Cup 2026 🏆⚽️

The Gaynor Cup is Ireland’s premier inter-league, underage association football tournament for girls' under-14 teams. Katie McCabe, Leanne Kieran and Denise O’Sullivan have all played at Gaynor. The tournament takes place in University Limerick and the girls will face Derry in their opening game.

On Friday, with the help of our U7 girls we gave our Skyvalley Rovers FC girls a traditional send off.

We are very proud as a club to be represented by Ava Hogan, Caitlin Clarke and Robyn Brooks.
Pat Creavin made a presentation to the girls.

A shoutout to our amazing Skyvalley Rovers FC U11 Europa girls team who put on a fantastic performance in their game last night.

For these girls it’s their first year of U11 soccer and it’s a big step up from U9s but they have huge determination.

Welcome to the team Molly and Muireann who made their debuts 👏👏👏

All new girls interested in playing soccer and having fun are always welcome.

Congratulations to Taughmaconnell U13 Girls who are National All Ireland Champions👏

The girls beat the Leinster champions, Longford in the semifinal.
They met Munster champions, Tipperary in the final where they had a convincing win.
