League Div 3 Round 8 Result and Match report

Castletown 0-13 (0-6ht)
Dunderry 0-9 (0-4ht)

Castletown moved up to second place in division 3 with this 4 points victory over Dunderry played in Castletown on Saturday evening. Castletown with the advantage of the wind led by two at the break with Darragh Kelly opening the scoring with a point from play followed by one for him from a free. Castletown net minder then converted a two pointer free and Killian Price hit a two pointer from play to Dunderrys 0-4 ( 3fs) to leave the home side up by 2 at the break.
Castletown kept it going in the second half against the elements with Darragh Kelly hitting 0-4 (3fs) and Johnny Ginnitty again with 0-3 from frees one two pointer. This was a vital win for Castletown who are understrength at this time due to exams, holidays and injuries this result keeps them in the top four with a top of the table clash in round 9 against Slane in the coming week.

League Div 3 Round 7 Result and Match Report

Castletown 0-13(Ht 0-8) Michaels 1-13(Ht0-5)
Castletown recieved their second defeat in this campaign with this three point defeat to local rivals St.Michaels. Castletown led by three points wind assisted at the halftime break with Kevin Ross 0-3(2fs), Adam Matthews 0-2, Declan Cribbin 0-2(1×2pts) and first half substitute Darren Finney 0-1 to 0-5 for St.Michaels.

The eventual winners made the better second half start and on 39 minutes were level but Declan Cribbin scored a point for Castletown to go one ahead but that was as good as it got for an under strength Castletown side. St Michael's opened up Castletowns defence and scored a goal on 41 minutes along with another four points to have 1-13 to 13 points at the finsl whistle. A further three pointed frees from Kevin Ross and one from play for Rian Monaghan concluded Castletowns account.
Next up is Dunderry in round 8.
