Master Gaelic Football All-Ireland Championship 2026 – Round 4 Review
The Championship Comes Alive!
With All Ireland places beginning to loom on the horizon, counties took to the field knowing that every score, every tackle and every point could shape their championship destiny. The result? Another unforgettable weekend of Masters Football.
Three Counties Still Standing
Donegal, Dublin and Monaghan continue to lead the charge, each maintaining a flawless record with four wins from four. Their consistency has been remarkable, but with one round remaining, nothing has been won yet. Every one of them knows that one off day could change everything.
The Chasing Pack Refuse to Go Away
Kerry and Waterford remain unbeaten and sit just one point behind the leaders after sharing the spoils in an absorbing contest in London and edging another crucial victory respectively.
Derry, Galway, Meath and Roscommon all sit on six points after another dramatic weekend. The championship table is so finely balanced that one final league fixture could completely reshuffle the standings.
Round 4 Delivered Everything
Supporters witnessed high-scoring encounters, thrilling finishes and some outstanding individual performances across the country.
Monaghan produced one of the performances of the weekend with a commanding victory over Louth, while Donegal showed once again why they are genuine championship contenders by overcoming a determined Sligo side.
Dublin and Meath served up another classic rivalry, with Dublin emerging victorious in a contest worthy of the occasion.
Galway continued their impressive run by overcoming Mayo, Derry's powerful attacking display proved too much for Cavan, while Tyrone, Armagh, Limerick, Roscommon, Waterford, Laois and Leitrim/Longford all collected valuable victories.
Every Point Matters
The race at the top is tighter than ever, the middle of the table is packed with counties capable of beating anyone on their day, while every team still has pride, momentum and championship ambitions to play for.
