That’s a wrap on our Juvenile League Finals 🎉🏸
Tonight in Coláiste Clavin, Longwood, we celebrated an incredible evening of badminton as the season came to a close. We were treated to fantastic finals across U11, U13, and U19 categories, with teams representing Mullingar, Boyne, Navan, Longwood, and Stamullen clubs.
Final matchups included:
• U11: Skryne BC vs Stamullen BC
• U13 Boys: Navan BC vs Skryne BC
• U13 Girls: Navan BC vs Stamullen BC
• U13 Mixed: Skryne BC vs Stamullen BC
• U19 Boys: Mullingar BC vs Boyne BC
• U19 Girls: Navan BC vs Stamullen BC
What an amazing evening of badminton, showcasing the future of our leagues. From delicate net shots to powerful smashes, the level of skill on display was truly impressive.
A huge well done to all players, clubs, coaches, and parents. Your dedication and support are what make the juvenile league possible 👏
We also marked the occasion with some special presentations:
💐 A heartfelt thank you to Elaine Maher for her Trojan work over the years at club and county level. Presented by Juvenile County Manager Martin Sheridan, it was a fitting tribute to her incredible contribution. We wish her every success as she returns to playing senior badminton alongside her daughter Aimee. It was especially meaningful to have her first coach, Gerry Doherty, present on the night — a man who has guided so many players through the ranks.
💐 Congratulations also to Catherine McCooey (Longwood BC), Juvenile Intercounty Secretary, who was recognised for her outstanding work throughout the year. The presentation was made by Caoimhe Shields, who now steps into senior badminton after a strong juvenile career.
We’re nearly at the end of the juvenile season — just one more event to go:
📅 U15 Intercounty – May 4th

Congratulations to all finalists and to every player who took part this season. The future of badminton is in great hands 💪🏸
