Let's be real for a minute...
Social media has become a highlight reel of sucked-in stomachs, perfect lighting, flattering angles and carefully chosen poses.
And here's the funny thing...
All 3 photos are me!
One took a bit of posing, arching my back, tightening everything up and finding the right angle.
The other? Me sitting in the sun, dropping b***s, with a bag of crisps, and yes... there'll probably be a bottle of wine nearby too. 🍷😂
Neither photo defines me.
The posed photo isn't fake. The crisps photo isn't a failure.
They're simply different moments of the same person.
Too many people compare their everyday lives to someone else's best five seconds.
Here's what you don't see...
Tomorrow morning I'll be back training.
My meals for the week are already planned.
I'll be eating plenty of vegetables, salads, barbecued meats, baked potatoes and hitting the protein my body needs.
I'll hydrate properly.
I'll get out walking.
I'll listen to my body and adjust if my gut is telling me something isn't agreeing with it.
I'll keep my calories and macros where they need to be, and when I don't weigh food, I'll eyeball portions because I've learned what they look like.
None of that is exciting enough for social media these days!!
👉But that's what builds health.
Not one perfectly posed photo.
Not one bag of crisps.
Not one bottle of wine.
Your body isn't built by what you do occasionally.
It's built by what you do consistently.
That's why I coach balance, not restriction.
Enjoy the BBQ. Have the wine. Eat the crisps.
Then wake up the next day and get straight back to the habits that make you feel strong, healthy and energised.
Health isn't about being perfect.
It's about creating a lifestyle that you can actually enjoy for years, not just survive for a few weeks.
The real flex isn't the pose...
It's having the knowledge and habits to enjoy life's treats without letting them become your lifestyle😉💖👌
Happy Sunday all.
See ye on the flip side, aka - Monday🥳🥴
