It was with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Barry O'Mahony, Barleyfield.
Barry had a long history with the club. Having being part of the kilbrittain minor hurling team to win the championship for the first time in 1958 and part of the Junior hurling teams during the 1960's and early 1970's where he lined out as a wing-back. During his playing days, he also played with Argideen Rangers and Ballinascarthy. He was involved as an underage officer with Kilbrittain in the late 1980's while also involved with many successful underage teams up to the middle 1990's, where as a mentor, he was very supportive.
A genuine, witty, quiet spoken gentleman who was also fond of a game of cards/'45.
Our sincere sympathies are expressed to his wife Kathleen, Paula, Fergal, Michelle, his brother Denis, sister Mary and the extended O'Mahony family.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
