U14 Premier Result:

Our U14s travelled to Carrigaline last night knowing that a win was needed to secure Premier League survival, & they delivered with a great team performance.
Rockmount started brightly & took the lead in the 13th min. Great work down the right from Cian Ramsell found Joe O’Callaghan, who played a perfectly weighted pass into Oran Hamilton, & Oran made no mistake with a composed finish to make it 1-0.
Despite creating several more chances, the hosts drew level in the 33rd min with an excellent strike. However, the response was immediate. Just a min later, Cian delivered a dangerous free kick into the box that resulted in an unfortunate own goal, & gave us a 2-1 advantage at the break.
The 2nd half was played at a high tempo, with both sides creating opportunities on the counterattack. The decisive moment arrived in the 63rd min following some excellent combination play down the left. Jermaine Odabi collected the ball, drove through the defence & finished brilliantly to put the game beyond doubt.
A big squad performance, with all 15 players contributing to a deserved victory.

This result secures our Premier League status in our 1st season at this level. Following last year’s strong Division 1 title winning campaign, the step up proved challenging & took time to adapt. A strong 2nd half of the season produced some outstanding performances & showed the tremendous progress this group has made 💪👏
