A huge thank you to for a fantastic event, hosted in a spectacular location! Castletownbere Rowing had 3 rowers competing, all who performed amazingly! We had Una racing in mixed quad, women’s single and women’s double, which she came 🥈 in each race✨
Katie&Riley competing in the Women’s j16 double and both racing in the women’s j16 single, these girls should be very proud of themselves both still j13 and had a very successful day competing in the j16 category!

CTB Rowing Family Fun Day, and what a day it was ☀️ it was lovely to see a day full of laughter and enjoyment!! Thank you to all who came and supported the day, A big thank you to our two chefs Paddy O Sullivan and .minihane for all their hard work on the barbecue and also to Neil for supplying some fabulous fish! Thanks to everyone who helped make the day possible and to those who supplied/donated food, drinks,treats etc Orla Gilsenan, Derry&Niamh Murphy and many more ✨✨

Massive congratulations to Miriam who has been selected to represent Ireland in the Senior Women’s 1x in the European Beach Sprints in La Linea de la Concepion Spain in September, we as a Club are immensely proud of her and wish her every success, it is a huge achievement to be selected and she is an inspiration to all at Castletownbere Rowing Club!

August has been traditionally the busiest month for Coastal Rowing and 2026 is no exception. This weekend we see the final series of Beach sprint Trials in Donegal followed next weekend by the Irish Coastal rowing championships at the NRC Cork then there’s the Swift Irish Senior coastal sculling championships in Wicklow .
We then head West to Mayo for the Tullaghan Bay Rc endurance regatta the first endurance event in Connacht and they would love your support.
From Mayo we head to the Kingdom for the Kenmare Rc endurance regatta Kerry finally we make the short trip to Cork for the Swift Junior coastal sculling championships hosted by Bantry Rc this will be a spectacular event with the best rowing you will see in Bantry all year by these super Juniors.
