The Perfect Handstand in 12 Steps!

EVERY strong handstand starts with the basics.

A straight, controlled handstand doesn’t happen by chance.

It comes from building the right habits, correcting small mistakes, and practising the fundamentals every session.

In this reel, we break the skill down into the 12 steps we use with our gymnasts to develop better body position, stronger alignment, improved balance, and greater confidence upside down.

Whether you’re learning your first handstand or trying to hold one for longer, these steps will help you build a stronger foundation.

Some people leave a mark that never fades, and Zara Murphy will always be one of them.

Last weekend, we came together as a DP Gymnastics family to celebrate Zara’s legacy through the sport she gave so much to.

Seeing so many of our 2-Piece gymnasts perform with courage, joy, and determination was a beautiful reminder of the lasting impact she continues to have on our club.. And now each of them will have a medal bearing Zara’s name.

Together, we’ll continue to honour our star, keeping her memory alive in every smile, every friendship, and every routine.
