🏀 3‑Man Fast Break Passing Drill | Build Unstoppable Transition Offense

Fast breaks win games, but sloppy passing kills them. This drill teaches your team crisp ball movement and perfect timing in a 3‑on‑0 fast break.

Setup: 3 players line up across mid‑court – middle with the ball, wings on each side.

Ex*****on:
1️⃣ Middle dribbles hard to the 3‑point line
2️⃣ Pass #1: Middle → left wing
3️⃣ Pass #2: Left wing immediately returns the ball to the middle (no dribble)
4️⃣ Pass #3: Middle instantly passes to the right wing
5️⃣ Right wing catches and finishes with a layup

Key coaching points:

· All passes: chest passes, fast and flat
· Catch with both hands ready, pass without dribbling
· Complete the whole sequence within 3 seconds
· Rotate positions after each repetition – everyone plays middle

Reps: 10 consecutive clean reps = 1 set; do 3‑5 sets.

Master this, and your transition game will be lethal.

要點:

· 接球後不運球,直接傳出
· 全程3秒內完成
· 每組完成後輪換位置,每人皆練習中路

訓練量:連續完成10組不掉球為一輪,做3~5輪。

Master the Fast Break with The Three Man Rush Drill 🏀⚡

Great teams don’t rely on isolation plays—they move the ball. The Three Man Rush (also known as the 3‑lane rush or three‑man weave) is a high‑pace drill that builds passing precision, spatial awareness, and transition chemistry with just three players and one basketball.

Why add this to your practice routine?

✅ Passing under pressure – learn to deliver sharp, accurate passes while sprinting
✅ Spacing & cutting – outside players stay wide; middle runner finds passing windows
✅ Communication – constant verbal cues keep the weave clean and collision‑free
✅ Conditioning – full‑court runs, jump stops, and layups in one fluid sequence

Quick drill setup:

· 3 players line up across the baseline: middle player has the ball; two wings form outside the 3‑point line
· Middle passes to a wing → sprints behind that player’s route
· The receiver cuts diagonally to the centre → immediately passes to the opposite wing
· Repeat the “figure‑eight” pattern all the way to the opposite basket and finish with a layup
· After scoring, the same group runs the same weave back to the starting baseline
· Rotate positions after each full round

Coaching emphasis: The ball must never touch the floor during a full down‑and‑back sequence. If it does, reset and start over. This demands focus and rewards clean ex*****on.

為什麼要練這套?

✅ 跑動中傳球 – 高速推進時做出準確傳球
✅ 拉開空間與切入 – 邊路保持寬站位,中路人尋找傳球窗口
✅ 團隊溝通 – 三人互相呼應,避免路線重疊
✅ 體能與專注 – 全場來回跑、跳停接球、上籃一氣呵成

快速設定方式:

· 三人並排站於底線:中間球員持球,兩側球員站在三分線外角附近
· 中間球員傳給任一側 → 立刻衝刺繞過接球隊員路線
· 接球球員斜線切向中央 → 立即傳給對側隊友
· 三人以「8 字型」路線推進至對面籃下並以上籃終結
· 得分後同一組以相同路線跑回原底線
· 每完成一次完整來回便輪換位置

訓練重點: 球在任一輪來回過程中絕對不能落地。若落地必須重置重來,這會大幅提升專注度和執行力。

🏀 Breakthrough Layup for Beginners – 3 Details Most Players Miss

Your child keeps getting blocked on drives? Or missing easy layups?
Fix these three fundamentals first.

1️⃣ Lower the shoulder on first step
Push hard off the back foot, drop the inside shoulder to pass the defender‘s hip.

2️⃣ Use the off-arm to protect
Sweep your non-dribbling arm horizontally at chest level. This creates space – not a foul.

3️⃣ Hop step + straight-up layup
Gather the ball with both feet landing together (hop step). Jump vertically, aim for the top corner of the square on the backboard.

Drill progression:
No defense slow motion → add a chair → half-speed 1-on-1

Do this 10 times each training session. Layup percentage will skyrocket.
