The countdown is on... just under 3 weeks until the Red & Black Army returns to Barnard Fields to begin preparations for the 2026/27 season! 🏉🔥

After another successful year, we're ready to go again and this promises to be one of the biggest seasons in the club's history.

We have now passed another major milestone in our floodlighting campaign.

Thanks to the incredible support of our members, supporters, sponsors, friends and families, we have now raised:

The Senior Men continue to lead the way, while the Under 11s have stormed into the top three and are now the leading junior section. Fantastic effort from everyone involved.

🚨 MATCH FUNDING UPDATE 🚨

Sport England has agreed to provide Wymondham RFC with up to £15,000 of matched funding towards the floodlighting project.

This is not funding already awarded.

For every £1 we raise, Sport England will contribute £1.

That means:

💷 Raise £100 = Sport England adds £100
💷 Raise £1,000 = Sport England adds £1,000

💷 Raise £15,000 = We unlock the full £15,000
Every donation is effectively doubled.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our Charity Golf Day, which raised an incredible £3,000 for the project.

Wymondham Rugby Club is looking to appoint a passionate and driven Lead Club Physio to oversee and develop our medical provision across the senior game. 🔴⚫️

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the region's most ambitious community rugby clubs, working alongside players, coaches and management teams in a thriving rugby environment.

📍 Part-Time Role
📅 Training Evenings & Weekend Matchdays

Key Responsibilities

🏉 Lead physiotherapy support for the Men's 1XV, including:

Training night clinics and player assessments

Matchday pitchside cover

Injury diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation

Return-to-play management

🏉 Coordinate medical provision for the Men's 2XV, Men's 3XV and Women's Wasps team.

🏉 Work closely with the Director of Rugby, coaches, S&C staff, RugbySafe Lead and external healthcare professionals.

🏉 Manage physio equipment, injury records and player welfare monitoring.

🏉 Support injury prevention initiatives, concussion management, player welfare programmes and the development of volunteer/student therapists.

What We're Looking For

✅ Qualified Physiotherapist / Sports Therapist (or equivalent)
✅ Experience in rugby or a sporting environment preferred
✅ Excellent communication and organisational skills
✅ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
✅ Passion for player welfare and community sport

Please join us in welcoming Tom "Jacko" Jackson to Wymondham Rugby Club ahead of the 2026/27 season! 🏉🔥

Tom joins the Red & Black Army from local side Holt, where he established himself as a true club legend, making over 200 appearances and becoming a regular representative for both Norfolk and Eastern Counties throughout his career.

A fearless competitor and powerful ball carrier, Jacko brings pace, physicality, defensive steel, outstanding rugby knowledge and a wealth of experience to our squad. His leadership qualities and winning mentality will be a huge asset both on and off the field, and we're excited to see him pull on the Red & Black jersey this season.
