💛 Has your big one just started school?

And now you’ve got your little one at home thinking… “Right, what are we going to do on those mornings?” 😂

If you have a little one aged 2½+, come and join us at Funics! 🥰

Funics is all about the fundamental skills children need before they learn to read and write at school.

And because we’re experienced Reception teachers, we know exactly what those foundations look like. ❤️

Our sessions are fun, relaxed and completely pressure-free, with a little bit of everything:

📚 Stories and sharing books
🗣️ Talking, listening and building language
🎵 Rhymes, songs and sound play
✋ Fine motor and pre-writing activities
🏃‍♀️ Movement and gross motor development
🧠 Attention, confidence and independence
🎨 Lots of fun activities for children to choose from

We do have a short, focused group time, but the rest of the session gives children the freedom to explore and choose activities that interest them.

And as Reception teachers, we also gently introduce parents to things like how we say sounds — not because your 2½-year-old needs to be learning them, but because we know how easy it is for parents to pick up habits that can make things harder later on!

There’s no rushing, no pressure and no expectation that your child should be “school ready.”

Just fun, play, movement, stories, learning and a lovely community of local families. 💛
