📋 TEAM NEWS

Today marks Jack Ray’s first competitive game as Reserves manager, having stepped up to take charge following Sam Wright and Richie Eastaff’s decision to step down at the end of last season.

Jack was an important part of the management team during last year’s successful campaign and will now look to build on that success as he takes the reins for the new season.

With promotion comes a new challenge in Division 2, and the lads will be looking to make a positive start against East Oxford.

🟢⚪️ THE HOOPS — END OF SEASON DOO ⚪️🟢

A huge thank you to everyone who took part in our Middletown Masters last Saturday.
A special mention to Tower Hill Football Club, who took part and went on to win the tournament in the final moments against Hailey Foxes.

This season has been a fantastic one for the club, with both teams bringing home silverware:

🟢 Special Mentions

A huge thank you to Sophie King and Chloe Bridges, who do an incredible amount for the club behind closed doors. The club simply wouldn’t be where it is without their hard work and dedication.

A massive thank you also goes to Richie Eastaff, our Chief Groundsman, who prepped and maintained Middle Town all season. The pitch has never looked better.

Sadly, Richie has advised the club that he will be stepping back from his management and groundsman role for a year. We want to thank him for everything he has done — it’s been one hell of a journey, and the club is stronger because of him.

We managed to catch one last word with Richie, and here’s what he had to say:

“Wow, what a season it’s been. If you’d asked me at the start of the season whether we’d be crowned league winners and Hughes Supplementary Cup winners, I’d have laughed my head off. But I want to say one thing to the lads — don’t be sad it’s over, be happy that it happened. Peace and love Richie”

We managed to catch a word with the management teams — Dan Hill, Sam Wright, and Jack Ray — who all, quite fittingly, quoted Mike Bassett:
